Doing Sparkle Text Without Using Glitter Gifs
I want to thank and dedicate this Tutorial to my online friend from Fun With PSP Group for the idea to use gradients and perfecting the noise filters to do this tutorial. Thank you very Suzanne aka "Dusty"!

Ready, here we go! You really should have a bit of working knowledge in PSP. So this is how I have my working table set up. I like to start out with all my major tools showing. This program has so many possibilities and it is really a simple program to work with, not to sure that they have improved it with version 8, which looks like PI and Adobe, but I like version 6 the best, but now I'm use to working with 7 and have used it for almost 2 years now. Anyway, here is what mine looks like.
You now should have your image open and shift+D to duplicate and close your original. I always work with a copy just in case, I save the wrong copy :o). . . We are now going to use the lasso tool (rope) with these tool option settings:
Selection Type = Freehand
Feather = 30
Antialias = checked
Draw around the large center sunflower with the Freehand selection tool, release the mouse when you've went all the way around the flower. Copy to clipboard and paste as a new image. You are now done with the first image... I close anything that I no longer need. It keeps the table clean.
With the new image on your work space, go to Image > Canvas size as below
Now your image is almost prepared for completing the tag. It is nice and big, we've lots of room, but one more thing we need is to create a 'color palette'. This is another one of the things I like to do, just in case I get slap happy with that color dropper, you know the feeling, some call it a 'trigger finger' :o)! So open a new image I usually use something like 100px x 40px. Choose your dropper tool and pick out 2 colors 1 for the foreground and one for the background. Choose your paintbrush with these settings:

Go to your new blank canvas and in the upper left corner, place a square color, continue adding as many colors as you would like to it.
I then add these to my custom colors in the Color Palettes because we will need these if we decide to make our own gradient.
