Step # 1
Open your original image, shift+D to duplicate, close your original.
Step # 2
This is a most important step, because you will be saving the image from step 1 now as a .jpg to a folder where all your slices will be going. I name mine something simple like image01 or in this case I called it sliceoriginal because each of the little cells that you get when you slice it will be named by PSP, and will be written to the html file. Close this save just click NO, you don't need the psp format.
Step # 3
Again, open your newly created jpg image and go to File > Export > Image Slicer

Before you start here, look at all the items and tools, become familiar with them. That way, you would be getting confused when I say clear, or optimize cell, you wouldn't be overwhelmed by what we are doing.
Step # 4
Now, we are going to start to slice our image. Choose the Grid or # (pound sign) and move your cursor over to the image and click. See image 4

Step # 5
This is where you decide how many cells your image will have a few or many depends upon what you are going to be doing. For a puzzle, you may want many and so far that is all that I've used the slicer for, but you can create many things with it. Decide how many columns across and how many rows down and click OK, and your screen will look like this.

Step # 6
Final step... Save as and name your htm file. When you go into the folder that holes in this case, sliceroriginal. jpg, all the little pieces will be in the folder. That is all there is to using the image slicer... If you want to use this as an image map, you can put in the information for your pages or links but this is all for the basic use of the PSP Image Slicer. Enjoy!
